Film composer Francesco de Donatis is a passionate musician, captivating audiences with his compositions for Film, TV and Video Games.

He composed music for over 300 commercials as

SUNOCO, REEBOK,TEQUILA 1800, GREY POUPON,ZZZQUIL,TIAA,PEUGEOT EUROPCAR,PHARMA TRANSPLANT, TRUNK CLUB, THE LUMINEERS, VISTA PRINT, SUBWAY RADIO, HELLO TOOTHPASTE, BON APPETIT PIZZA, GSBH, GSBH HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CASE STUDY, UMASS STOCK SEARCH, AMERISOURCE ANIMATION, INSPIRA etc etc

He composed music for LE IENE (Mediaset) for the commercial Vaporart.

In 2012, composed the Soundtrack of the documentary "Jet Set Quando L'aereoporto sembrava Via Veneto" by Antonello Sarno (MEDIASET) and he won the first prize of ROME FILM FESTIVAL 2012 with the screening of the documentary on all ALITALIA FLIGHTS from March 2013.

In 2012, won first prize at the Contursi Film Festival with the soundtrack for the shortmovie "FACCIA DA LADRO" by Alessandro Palminiello, ROSSELLINI PRODUCTION of Rome.

In 2015, won First Place “Best of Fest” at the Colorado Environmental Film Festival with the documentary “Time Capsule” BBC, Chris Summerfield, LA USA.

From his early childhood, de Donatis has proven to have a strong musical sensibility and unique talent as a composer. In 2003, he studied Composition and Vocal Performance at the Conservatory "Nino Rota" Monopoli (BA). Following in 2006, he won a scholarship to enter the Academy Chigiana, majoring in Composition for Film under the guidance of  the Oscar Winner Maestro Luis Bacalov.

Francesco de Donatis graduated in Film Scoring with a minor in Video Game Music at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston USA under scholarship and in Composition at University of Salford in Manchester UK under scholarship. He studied contemporary composition with the famous composer M Tibor Józef Pusztai, Orchestration with Richard Davis (Orchestrator for Robin Hood prince of thieves), Conrad Pope and Norman Ludwin, film scoring with George S. Clinton (Austin Power Composer), Sheldon Mirowitz (The Nazi officer's wife, Odyssey of life etc.) Dario Eskenazi (My first wedding, To fool a thief etc) and music for videogames with Michael Sweet (Xbox 360 logo, Cartoon Network, Sesame Workshop, PlayFirst etc etc)

In 2022 get a  Master in Film Scoring at Francesco Venezze Conservatory in Rovigo (Italy) and he studied with the Italian Film Composer and Premio of Donatello winner Marco Biscarini. He also studied with the Italian Film Composer Franco Piersanti and Giuliano Taviani

In 2022 get also a Master in Music For Video Games at Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome

In 2024 get biennio in Film Scoring at Francesco Venezze Conservatory in Rovigo with 110 et Laude

Currently Francesco de Donatis works as a film composer at several American House Productions such as Gratitude Sound, GMP, John Arms Production Music.
